MG Duel Gundam WIP #4

Time for a short update on the Duel, even though I’ve technically already finished it, I’ll post this WIP just for some continuity. This post, I’ll be tackling some detailing, and is my first real foray into handpainting. Ever since I purchased an ‘extra fine’ brush from Tamiya, it’s actually been much easier than I thought.

I painted these various pipes using a combination of Tamiya Enamel Titanium Silver and Titanium Gold. There are quite a few of these pipe details on the kit, if you can be bothered to paint these it can add quite a bit of character to the finished product.

These thrusters and pipes on the Assault Shroud were painted using Tamiya Enamel German Grey. I used Titanium Silver for the highlights on the side.

There are actually a few more parts like the Gae Bolg, the bigass bazooka the Duel comes with, I had to handpaint, but I didn’t manage to take pictures of them in my hurry 🙁

The last step is to apply decals. I’ll be using the sheet from Samueldecals as usual. No pics this time since I’m well past the process, so you’ll just have to wait for the final product 🙂

Thanks for the kind words 🙂

Samuel doesn’t update his website anymore. He runs his shop directly on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Samueldecal) . These are the exact set of decals I bought from him: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150934135716897&set=a.10150113056916897.293488.382602901896&type=3&src=https%3A%2F%2Ffbcdn-sphotos-c-a.akamaihd.net%2Fhphotos-ak-ash2%2F301773_10150934135716897_314169301_n.jpg&size=960%2C621
